First, my one-star review is to reflect ownership/management. Please read on. This is a nice building in a nice location with nice units (the two or three that I've actually seen). However, this is all trumped by the problem of new ownership. RP Management took over a couple of months ago and immediately jacked up rents by HUNDREDS of dollars, claiming that they were simply bringing the building up to the market standard, as well as covering rising costs. Right. Seattle's getting more expensive, but this isn't Manhattan. $900 for a studio' Why not a cool thousand -- that would be no more ridiculous. I take a bit of solace in the fact that they're digging their own grave with this deal; I hope this building becomes a ghost town. This company has been widely lambasted for their awful practices; check out the numerous poor reviews of their properties, easily found online. Obviously, anything you read should be taken with a grain of salt, but RP Management is clearly a problem. Somebody will eventually move in here, but they do so at their own risk, and they will be lining the pockets of greedy, uncaring, unscrupulous corporate devils.
