The price was decent for Cap Hill, but the old Mgmt still sucked. Jeff was a pompous ass, laughable really. Insisting he never got work orders or resident updates, late with everything unless it concerned him. He was friendly to strangers though, especially when came for his kid's baby shower "all welcome and invited" haha. The previous maintenance guy was loko, never came at right times, always very untimely, unless you had been up all night-then he had a propensity for showing up unexpected- but with a smile. Then you see him in the halls or outside and he scowls like you are dead to him.
New mgmt took things to a new low "getting things straight", ehehe. Rent was upped by roughly $250, the new mgr was a ponytailed slacker, but with a borderline hostile, superficial attitude, also never kept appointments. I used to hear him checking messages in office when I read my mail. Overly nice parents and concerned residents kind of pleading to talk about the new situation in the apts-- I just heard "message has been deleted" over and over. When the little weasel did a walk through-after a 2 day cleaning, when I asked, he finally spit that he wrote "filthy" for bathroom because sink was stained-but this happened in the 50's hah ha. He liked to say dude a lot. I spent one month talking to upper mgmt, they were nice on phone "you will get full dep back surely!". After 20 calls- it finally arrived a month late. They are betting the tenant wont take to court- as the legal time is 2 weeks for a deposit notice. As I write I still have a full set of the keys to the whole building, xtra ones I left a deposit for until my own ones returned.
New mgmt could not be bothered to give money back "we will look into it" until I got higher up and noted this is not secure for the residents. 2 weeks later she got back saying they would want to make a switch-$ for keys, but I am still waiting. I call again today.
Bottom line=all the residents left, new ones are suckers, even if the location is for work-it is a insult giving $ to these clowns. RP mgmt also had a long story about them in the stranger I believe-as they were illegally screwing other residents. The historical phones in the walls are cool.

The comments that are negative, came from a disgruntled employee. Jeff was an excellant Manager, who loved his tenants and the John Aldon. He handled the work orders exceptionally well. I would have highly recemmended the building, if Jeff was still the manager!

No, just a tenant. Let the readers decide. Update though- went to RP head offices and did get the key deposit back. Also, my new apartment happens to be another RP- god I have to do better research- before I will have to do more research on how to get my money back-again
