Some Valid, Some Not

I am a current tenant at the John Alden (NOT a member of management, as it seems like every even slightly positive review is accused of being in the comments). I have been here since well before the building was sold into new management. I have lived through soon to be 4 managers in a year. I have heard horror stories of rent being raised 25%, I have seen the curb outside lined with U-Hauls as tenatns flock from the building... But nothing negative ever happened to me.
I read a lot of these reviews and I'm conflicted. When it comes to the management company, I agree with a lot of what has been brought up. I refuse to stand up for the management company itself.
But my point is this... Regardless of how greedy and beurocratic the management company is, a building is only as strong as its manager. And I WILL stand up for Julie Sinclair, on both a professional and a personal level. With all of the upheavel and transition in the past year, the addition of Julie as our management was the first thing that made me think that maybe I DON'T have to find a new place to live. Sadly, Julie is on her way out. I'm reserving my judgement, having not even met the new management yet. Regardless of the complaints about the management company, Julie herself will be missed.
