Not worth it

Incompetent management is the reason you should not even consider living here.
The building manager is unreliable and untrustworthy. She is impossible to get a hold of, and in order to get even the simplest maintenance request taken care of you have to hound her daily for at least a week, and then she will lie about getting your problem taken care of to cover her own ass. She will come into your apartment without notice when you don't have a maintenance issue, so unless you are home all the time to catch her in the act, you have no assurance of privacy. Her record keeping is so scattered and disorganized it is no wonder people have problems getting their deposits back.
The location of this apartment building is by far the best thing about it, in a quiet leafy part of Capitol Hill within easy walking distance of Downtown, Broadway, and QFC. The West facing apartments have wonderful Space Needle/Olympic Mountain views, which you pay for by overheating in the summer and constant traffic noise from I-5.
The building itself is OK, kinda cheaply built but new enough that it doesn't matter too much yet.
If you want to live in this very nice neighborhood, shop around and find another building, the amount of money you will pay to live here is not worth the nightmare of trying to deal with this manager.
