The Malloy is one of the nicer apartments I've lived in. They have beautiful wooden floors and elegant French doors on the kitchen. They were very small, but well laid-out. The bathroom fixtures were attractive, even though there was a shortage of outlets. Parking can be a pest as there will be a wait list for a spot and once you get it, you've got to pay about $80 a month for it (at least that was the price in 1999). The staff was really friendly and helpful. They were especially helpful when I had to move out in an emergency...they made sure I didn't lose any money! By far the friendliest apartment staff I've encountered. Also, the Malloy is in a GREAT location. Many shops, a museum, the University of Washington and some great restaurants are all within walking distance.
It can get a little noisy. I could hear my next-door neighbor's step aerobics routine, my upstairs neighbor's fighting, and lots of things that were rather embarrassing, but that comes with apartment life.
I saw one review that said that the Malloy has a great view...this isn't true if you live on a lower floor; all you'll see is a brick wall. That, however, is a small price to pay. It's an affordable apartment and they don't jack up your rent every time you renew your lease.
