The worst place I've ever lived.

I lived at the Maximillian in 1996.
I could only stand it for 8 months, before I moved.
The cockroaches were awful, literally everywhere...I found a queen roach crawling into my silverware drawer one morning.
When I would come home from work, there would be dead roaches littering the floor.
They could be heard at night inside the walls...it was really bad.
The walls were paper-thin, and you could hear everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING that went on in the neighboring apartments.
I lived in a tiny studio on the top floor (if you're looking at the building from the outside, it is the two middle windows).
The elecrtic heating ran constantly, even in the summer.
The management was apathetic and inept...the list goes on.
I still have bad dreams about that place.
I can't imagine that any amount of renovation would be able to really bring that place up to code.
It was just an awful, awful place.
