I've been living in the McGuire for several months after relocating to Seattle from Boston, and am very impressed with the quality and price of the property. The building is solid masonary/cement making the apartments virtually soundproof (at least from your neighbors). The property is well maintained, the staff is helpful. The property is pet friendly, and my 60 lb. dog was welcomed without issue. There are lots of dogs in this building.
The apartments themselves have granite countertops, in unit washer dryers. They are pretty small, but that's pretty much the norm for a big city. I have a great view of the Seattle Skyline and Mount Rainer. They are very tenant focus and sponsor tenant social events on a regular basis.
My biggest pet peeve is the street noise. The property is located on a busy street and a short distance from a fire stations. The fire trucks combined with the late night bar/club noise is very annoying. Also when it rains the city smell combined with the water smell is not very appealing.
As far as parking is concerned, yes the spots are small (that's pretty much the norm in any big city, at least based on my Boston & NYC experience), but I never have a problem finding a spot no matter the time a day. The garage is video monitered 24 hours a day and requires a key card for entry/exit. I have always felt safe and secure in the garage.
I would recommend this building to anyone who doesn't mind city noise.
