I lived in the Metropolitan Park Apts. from 2001 until the end of 2007. You can see just by how long I lived there that I must have loved it - and I did! You can't beat the location, it has gated, underground parking and the new manager, Mila, really cares about the place. I still have friends that live there and cannot believe how much has been done to the place.

Yes, there was a time when things were bad, very bad, but that was years ago. They did a complete rennovation during the heat of the summer and we had no balconies, but we got a beautiful deck out of it and some rent reduction. It used to feel a little unsafe, unlit, etc...but that has COMPLETELY changed now. My scores above are based on how the apartment is now.

Any apartment complex or rental, be it house or apartment will have pros and cons, it is what you make it. I went through 6 managers during my time at this complex, some were good, some not so good, but I got along with everyone and if I needed help or something fixed, if I went through the right procedure to get it done it got done! Most people complain because they want something done right this minute, or they don't take the time to understand what the rental process involves when they sign on the dotted line. I have learned the hard way by doing that very thing, so now I read everything and understand what I'm getting into.

If you are reading this because you are thinking about moving in to the Metropolitan Park I would do it! There are truth to some of the complaints but the new management is working through them and has done a tremendous job at making the place a great home for people to live. They have functions for the tenants, the place is full of dog owners which is a lot of fun, and you can be downtown in minutes! The rooftop view is amazing!

And who knows, my husband and I just may move back. We are in the process of finding another place to live and I talked to Mila just the other day about the possibility. Trust me, I would not move back if I didn't have a good experience there.

Move to the Metropolitan Park!!!
