So I read the other reviews, and I have to wonder a bit about the reality of people's expectations when they actually decide to sign a lease.
I love my apartment because it's close to all the things I want to be close to. Everything is a super cheap cab ride away. The neighborhood is ecelctic and interesting. I can go out for cocktails, and catch a show, and not have to worry about getting a DUI driving out to BFE suburbia. It has a washer and dryer. It doesn't suck up my entire pay check. I can go out on the rooftop deck and soak up the incredible view while I read a book.
The manager and the handy man are fine. It seems like alot of people expect them to be their personal Johnny on the spot ambassadors of apartment good will. Whatever. They are folks just like the rest of us, just trying to do their jobs and go home and eat dinner. They aren't super human crime fighters, they can't predict which stupid door is going to break in your apartment (perhaps you should be more careful we ALL know that doors don't just break).
If you're bitchy and wierd about stuff that goes on in an urban environment, then perhaps this isn't the place for you. Maybe Sequim would be more your speed.
If you're a grown up who can deal with life's little ups and downs then check this one out.

we agree! We've lived here for a year and have had no problems with the management, and Ed the maintenance guy is a stud. Yes, it's not the best neighborhood, but the people writing bad reviews and bitching about the area must be pretty stupid for not checking it out first. We really like it here, and the views are incredible!
