I lived her for one year and there were many complaints about management. My lease ended on July 31st, 2005 and I gave notice to move out on July 12th. I had gone by the office on the 11th to find out what I had to do exactly to give notice becaus eI wa never provided with a copy of my lease. There was no one there during posted hours and there was a sign saying they would be back at a certain time and it was over an hour after that time. I knew about the WA state law dictating a 20 day advance, so when I emailed them the morning of the 12th I said my move out date would be August 1st. They told me I was not giving proper notice. I said I would pay for one day in August and their reply was that I would owe all of August.

The question is whether or not the day you give notice can be included in that 20 day count. If it can, then I was giving proper notice to move out on July 31st, which was when my lease ended.
I did not receive any communication from the management regarding my deposit or any amount owing. Then 3-4 months after I moved out I received a notice from a collection agency saying I owed $1000 . I asked them to send me documentation backing that amount up and they refused, saying they are not obligated to do that. So I don't even know what makes up the $1,000 they say I owe. I told them I never received move out report or anything from the Apt Management. She said it was mailed and the only proof they needed was the managers word. I have repeatedly asked for the contact information for the manager's supervisor and they will not provide it. I am going to fight this all the way as it is totally unjust and is a true reflection of the unreasonable and worthless management of this buidling. DO NOT LIVE HERE AND PASS THE WORD!!!!
