Yo!

Fraudulent Accounting/Unprofessional Management

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006

I moved into the Metropolitan Apartments October of 2005. The kitchen cupboards had writing on the bottom, door handles were loose and falling of, the closet doors came off the guiderails constantly, there were dark stains all over the carpet by the vanity, the handles came off the sink which dripped all the time and massive mold problems in the bathroom they tried to cover up with paint and caulking. It got even worse. They didn't tell me when I moved in the were starting construction within a couple of months. The view I thought I had...it went away when they set up scaffolding and nets around the entire building. The deck I had was torn off and for over 6 months the noise was so bad I had to leave my apartment to get some peace and quiet. They taped and locked my sliding glass door causing my apartment to be sweltering for months on end not to mention the fire hazzards. My blinds were taken down so I had no privacy from 7 in the morning on. I had construction workers peering in my windows and knocking on my door. My apartment was coated in dust, plaster and paint chips from the walls before they were prying the siding and deck off due to major leaks and construction issues. The hallways smell like urine and mold even after they were finished doing the outside because the damage had already been done for years to the inside. They let dogs in unfortunately the rooftop garden has animal feces, cigarette butts and beer bottles everywhere. I never got my deposit back. I have now been informed that Toni the manager is saying I didn't give notice in time and owe $1645.00. I called and verified she received my written notice why is this now coming up months and months later' If you are thinking of moving here be sure to read the previous reviews...If you live here and are having tenant issues contact the city attorney they represent tenant issues for free. I am sorry I ever lived here...I have rented for 20 years and this is the most unprofessional management I have ever had to deal with. I have tried to contact the management company Pinnacle 206-215-9800 several times and have left messages with no return phone calls. I have been told they have alot going on right now. I imagine they do if this is how they do business. I wish I had never moved here there are alot of great apartments that cost less on craigslist :0(
1/23/07 Emailed copy of notice of intent to vacant. Mindy has promissed to pass this along to Corey McCloud.
02/07/07 Emailed Pinnacle a demand for return of deposit pursuant to RCW 59.18.280 I just can't seem to get a return call back from Pinnacle :0(
