More cons than pros.

Years at this apartment:

Pros:
Convenient location
On busline
W/D and dishwashers in every unit
Also laundry room with a few larger pay units for bigger articles like comforters
Accepts any size pet
Gated, with free off-street parking
Cons:
Sketchy area
Hostile management
Oh yeah, there was a stabbing out front involving people from the building
People passed out on occasion in various parts of the building - not tenants
Slow to fix things
Indifferent management
Jack the rent up at every opportunity - even though when you're signing the lease Mr. Banis (management in question) will tell you the owner doesn't like to raise the rent (a story I've heard from several different people, in addition to my own experience)
Suddenly instituting a charge for w/s/g, in addition to raising the rent
The bedroom and living room don't have light fixtures!
The worst thing about this apartment is Mr. Banis. I've heard multiple horror stories from people who have lived here and someone who worked here, in addition to my own troubles.
