South Facing, Overpriced, New but Loud (dogs cars) From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/2/2007 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2007   These apartments are actually quiet in terms of traffic noise even though they are on Aurora but you will feel the trucks pass by Most units share almost 50 feet of a common wall so if you have loud neighbors you will hear everything and if they have a dog you might as well get one also. The units almost all face east so you won't have any light after noon but the view is still awesome. The rent doesn't include parking ($35) and the spaces are so small that my car was hit twice in the first month by other people's car doors. They also require you to pay for seperate utilites and they are one of the few that still require deposits to move in. People who park on the street (winslow) have had a rash of break-ins last month (dec) and 9 cars were stolen in January. Check the Seattle police crime stats by census tract 50 there were 9 cars were stolen in january in the local census tract (only a few blocks square)http://www.cityofseattle.net/police/crime/stats/pur1 Security - The building entrance is up on Aurora so your friends have to stand out there and use the buzzer to work. Great internet access. No one is very friendly although many people have dogs (which love to ride the elevator) but if you are nice people do talk to you. The managers are the typical young married grad students and helpful but you won't see them after you move in unless there is a problem. It just felt very isolated and barren for us living there and to loud. We just bought a new house and moved out last month and are paying the same price for a new home. You can do far better for the same price in this market.
