Not worth it. Not even close.

Years at this apartment: 2008-01-01 - 2009-01-01
The good: Furnished apartment, nice appliances, spacious (enough) rooms, utilities included
The Bad: Way overpriced, shoddy construction, nasty furniture, incompetent and unaccommodating office staff and management, inconsiderate roommates and or neighbors, bad location (close to school, but nothing else, unless you want to shop in U-Village everyday), small kitchen
I moved into Nordheim as an act of desperation after my freshman year because I wasn't yet knowledgeable about the rental process, and it seemed easy enough. I have lived to regret that decision. I live in a 4 bedroom apartment with a view which costs me an additional $40/month. The view is of a noisy courtyard and a scummy pond. The construction here is so cheap that I can clearly hear my roommate conversing at a normal tone with both of our doors closed. The office staff is terrible, although the maintenance staff is great. I hate the location, although if you drive, it probably isn't so bad. But the biggest negative that I see is the price. In the 2009-2010 school year it will cost you $750/month to live in a room like mine. That's $3000/month for a moderately sized 4 bedroom apartment. Trust me, you can find better for much cheaper.
