Conditions have deteriorated

I have lived at the Nettleton for almost a year, and in that time the conditions have deteriorated. There is extensive remodeling being done at this time to improve common areas, but does not really do anything to improve individual units. The windows are old and completely inefficient and there are no plans to replace them. Cigarette smoke is a constant problem... it gets into the hallways, laundry room and infiltrates into my apartment. Management has said there is not much they can do about it (and it's only gotten worse since the statewide smoking ban went into effect). Noise from stereos and TV's has also gotten worse (and that's pretty bad if I can hear it through a concrete floor). There is also constant behavioral problems (people spit on the elevator buttons, leave messes in the laundry room, etc). If the management would carefully screen tennants so there aren't so many troublemakers, then maybe things could improve. It would also help if one tower was non-smoking. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
