Yo!

Why live here when you can live elsewhere and pay less

I have been living here for just over 2 years and the service has declined to the point that I will not be renewing my lease. To start with if you plan to get any sleep do not live here. There are five hospitals within a 3/4 mile radius which makes for ambulance runs with blaring sirens every 15-30 minutes. Second, across the street is Vito's bar which at 2:00 a.m. closes and everyone from the bar is hollaring and screaming. In addition, last December there was a shooting just infront of the bar which is just across the street from the apartment. Third, if you plan to receive mail do not live here. When packages arrive and they do not fit in your mail box, they are given to the management. However, the management does not notify you that you have a package so it just sits there until either the sender ask if you received the package or you move out. One tenant I spoke with in the elevator had a package sitting in the office for about 3 months and did not know it until they went to move out. The trash room on each floor is always overflowing and stinks up the whole hallway (be prepared to either cover your nose or live a life of selebicy because no partner is going to want to constantly smell trash when visiting you). Though I do have to congragulate the management for placing a movie theater in the apartment, in which you enjoy the harsh comfort of lawn chairs sticking you in the ***. Also if you move in within the next year be prepared to move out when they choose to attempt to imporve the apartments. Last June I was told by the old management that I would receive help in moving my stuff, however when it came time for my floor to be renovated, I was given no help and ended up having to pay some young man $200 to help me move all of my stuff. Then when I moved back in there was not much of a difference. I could not believe I had to move out for this. But just use these comments for questions to ask on your tour, I am sure they will try to glamour this place up but just be honest, if you want to live miserably than this is the place for you.
