a new coat of paint can't make this place better or worth the now-inflated prices. i lived here for three years and in that time i witnessed not only prostitutes and drug dealers in the alcove between the building and the seattle housing authority complex next door, but also broken washing machines and exercise equipment, vomit-strewn walkways, &c. as some other people stated, it was also nice to awake to the garbage trucks and drunks walking around at 4am, but i think my favorite memory of post alley court was getting ripped off by management after leaving the apartment in just-as-found condition. they did this with another person i know - kept his deposit so they wouldn't have to pay to recarpet, which they were so already supposed to do as stated in his rental agreement. this place is crap, unless you're poor (like 2nd and pike poor). then it might be tolerable.
