Trapped at an ATM after Midnight

Oh Joan JOAN how we loathed you!
Our rent tripled in two years. We would hear people outside our door screaming at Joan at least once a month about how HORRIBLE she was. The Taft is a groovy building. I still miss it. We loved living there...until Joan took over. She is neurotic, shares WAY too much personal info with tenants, and the only way to deal with her is to treat her like a scary person with a gun aimed at you...after you were stupid enough to go to an ATM in the WORST part of town after midnight: you smile, nod your head and slowly back away to your car and drive FAR away as quickly as you can.
