Well...the Cobb is our home. Period. We have lived on both coasts and can say without hesitation that the Cobb is the best building in which we have lived. The building is fantastic -- a beautifully restored historic building with just the right touch of modern amenities -- with a place for our pups to run around to boot.
Not only does the building have every amenity one could want (w/d in unit, bike room, gym, etc.), but also it is a progressive building and expertly managed. One of our original drawing points to the Cobb was its LEED certification and the fact that it is a restored historic building. But the Cobb takes its commitment to the environment even further. On move in, the building provides you with non-toxic and environmentally friendly cleaning supplies. Also, the building s recycling program is top notch. While the required bags cost more than your average bag, one, the bags are recyclable and two, you know your refuse is actually getting recycled! Our hope is that the Cobb will take this to the next step and join the composting efforts of our downstairs neighbor, The Capitol Grill.
But even better than the apartment and the building are the people who take care of it. The folks out front and behind the scenes, you know who you are, are what really make the Cobb exceptional. It is a warm, friendly building and they are the key ingredient to keeping that way. No matter how crazy their day is or how bizarre your question is or even if your pups just want to stop by for a quick scratch behind the ears, the front office always makes time for you. And, if you ever have a problem with your apartment, which is very rare, they are quick to resolve any issue. Kudos to you!
In full disclosure, yes, the Cobb is at the higher end of the rental range and you may be able to get a slightly larger apartment for your dollar. At the end of the day, however, the Cobb's amenities, location, and management make it the clear No. 1 choice for living in downtown Seattle.

This post is too good to be true have you ever met someone completely satisfied with their apartment? Especially when it charges $3 for a trash bag... seems fishy to me..
