Because this apartment building is owned entirely by the Art Institute of Seattle, I do not think many people will come across as they search for apartments, however if a student does let me warn you.
Not only myself, but every other tennant in both the Lenora and the Cornelius (both AIS student housing apartments) has hated their experiences. Not only do many of the tenants destroy the facility, but the RA's are often times flat out morons and the management desensitized toward the concerns of the individual having tolerated so many idiots as of yet.
I lived in the Lenora for a year straight and was assigned the worst possible roommate, not only did he bring homeless people home to live with us and overall trash the place, but the management tolerated it and did nothing when I complained. I felt trapped, seeing as it would cost me so much money to break my lease.
DO NOT LIVE IN STUDENT HOUSING! It is far too expensive to justify the experience, if you are looking for a way to get acquainted with other students, do that at school or venture out into the University district and meet all the UW students there.
Also, there are cheaper, closer apartments to the school that are much nicer. Personally I am living and have been living at the Elliot Bay Plaza for over a year now and have had little problem, not only is it CHEAPER and NICER, but its directly across the street from the school and is run by some of the nicest people around.
So in conclusion, DO NOT LIVE IN STUDENT HOUSING, or you will hate life and probably end up dropping out of school as so many do. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH
