Cute apartment, ridicilous prices, current management is so so

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I stayed in the apartment for a bit over 2 years. The apartments are small. They are in good shape, and the management does fix the things. My best years were when Rose was the manager. She was on top of everything, and worked with the residents, not against them.
Managementwise everything has gone down the hill once Rose left. The first replacement was a complete disaster. The manager was late for meetings, didn't keep up with communication, was often not at the office. The current manager is much better than the first replacement, but still she is no Rose. I have never missed my rent, but twice I asked to pay my rent a bit later because of the timing with my paycheck from work. Rose would have worked with that, the current manager wouldn't. Not very good for personal relationship. I understand such attitude if I was always late, missed my payments and etc, but if I am a good renter, and ask for considersation, being supportive and let me be a day or two late without penalizing goes a long way.
I moved out because the prices became totally unreasonable. If I was to renew my lease for 2009-2010 I would have been charged over $1300 for not even 600 sq. feet, while the same size for new residents was less than $1200.
You will get a decent amount of noise inside and outside of the building. But that is given such it is in a college location. By and large inside the building is pretty clean, it can differ from a floor to floor. I liked that I didn't have to go outside to do my laundry. Parking fee was ridicilous. The rooftop was great, but needs newer furniture.
Overall there are better deals in that area that allow you to have same perks at less price.
