Do Not Rent Here

This place is a junky, old building with horrible staff. Not only does noise travel right through our ceiling (because the apartments on the third floor have wood floors and apparently no insulation), but the management is apathetic (at best) to any complaints about almost anything. The fridge in our unit (2 of us live in a 1 bedroom) was hardly large enough for one person, yet alone two. Also, the building is old and outdated. There are no amenities on site to speak of (unless you consider extremely expensive laundry an "amenity") and the only benefit is the convenient location. Honestly, this has been one of the worst buildings I have ever lived in (and I've lived in many!!!) Please think twice before even considering moving into this place. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

This person must be high. Yes, the building is old (1920s). However, the units are all newly renovated with new molding, new plumbing, new fixtures, new paint, new molding, ect. I had a hardwood floor studio on the 2nd floor facing north that was amazingly quiet and in great condition. The refridgerator in the units is the standard size. If it was too small it is because you're probably obese and have too much food. Your roommate must have been obese as well if the one bedroom units were too small for you. The studios are approximately 550 sqrft and the one bedrooms about double that. Expensive on-site laundry? $1.25 a load is hardly expensive. All apartment buildings I've seen with on-site laundry vary from $1 to $1.50. You just must be poor. Apathetic management? The on-site apartment manager always handled my problems with great kindness and with haste. I had a leaky pipe under the sink (my own fault i had loosened the seal on accident) and he had fixed it the same day. The water pressure in the showers and sinks is amazing. I had endless hot water (took 2-3 showers a day depending on how active I was that day.) No amenities? I guess an underground parking garage doesn't count? Most 1920 classic apartment buildings can't offer you that and you'll be stuck driving around capitol hill for an hour looking for parking or walking 12 blocks. I hardly think the building is outdated. If you had an actual complaint I might be easier on you. If you had said your unit had poor circulation even with the window was open then Id be like yeah thats true, if you're apartment faces north and you're in the middle of the building you won't get much circulation in the air. If you had said during the summer months its hard to cool off the apartment. If you had said during winter the heating system is a bit lackluster, then sure. However, everything you had to say was fantastically inaccurate. I recommend potential renters to actually go view the units. I highly enjoyed my hardwood floor studio.
