Not too Shabby

This was an apartment I lived in with a roommate/friend, 2 bedroom 1 bath ground level unit. Not too bad and not too much to complain about. Management was friendly and maintenance was pretty good as well. Pretty clean facilities and although it may be an older building - inside the apartments did not look used or worn. The stove/kitchen looked like it was from the 70's but that is not unusual for the U District. There is only one dryer and one washer which tenants use regularly, so you have to keep an eye out when it is free to use. My roommate and I made the mistake of getting the unit above the garage and every time someone opens the garage door, it is the loudest thing ever and can wake up most. Being close to the I-5 freeways also causes noise issues so having the window open is not usually an option. There are also bums who go through the trashcan so I suggest watching what you throw away. If you like to recycle - good luck at this place. You have to walk down the street and throw your recycling at Campus Heights. They do not provide a recycling can at this site. I have had issues with people parking in front of the garage and I was unable to leave. I was unable to move in on contract date and they tried to charge me for the whole month - they later changed their mind and prorated my rent. Very impressive. I would recommend this apartment to UW students. If they didn't raise rent about $200 and parking $20 more dollars, I would probably have renewed. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
