I wrote the previous negative comments and decided to look back here to see if anything had changed. Looks like everyone but me just loves it at Uptown Queen. I guess I'm glad no one else has problems with noise, or if they are, they're not aware that they can record their complaints here. And Geoff is a nice guy, until you disagree with him on something important. I stand by the specifics of my previous complaint. There are corners in the garage that are tighter than in other places downtown I've seen. But the biggest problem I had was the fact that people broke into the garage and stole a car and broke into my car and management's attitude was "tough luck." Fine, but we should have been told that there were previous incidents (break-ins)so that we could consider parking elsewhere or installing extra security in our own cars. To have informed tenants would have scared some off, I suppose. That shouldn't be a problem, though, because, as the one writer said, there is a 100% occupancy rate at Uptown. That also means Geoff and the owner can look the other way when a tenant has a legitimate request for compensation. And it means they can keep as much as they want for "cleaning" no matter how clean you leave the place. For the record, I lived in unit 318. Unless the upstairs tenant has moved, I'd love to hear from the current tenant about the pounding when the man walks around upstairs. Maybe the design flaw and construction only affects that middle apartment, who knows. In any case, if you're one of the extremely happy writers, great. Glad you are happy. I was not and I had legitimate complaints about real noise and real problems in the garage, not to mention the cleaning deposit heist. Like I said before, believe what you want... I'd never recommend the place to anyone. Over and out...
