I lived at Uwajimaya for two years and really enjoyed it. Everything is super clean and new and the entire staff is fantastic -- we all know each other by name.

There's a good mix of residents -- from seniors to young professionals to small families to students. They're all super nice.

It's right across the street from the bus tunnel, so you can pretty much get anywhere in Seattle. I was a grad. student at UW and while I had to travel a little further than most of my classmates, I was glad to get away from the campus lifestyle.

The rent is a little on the pricey side and parking is additional,but I think it's worth it. The garage is safe (gated after hours), but you do have to fight for a space with Uwajimaya shoppers. On weekend afternoons, it can be a killer.

I had to move back east because of a job. I'm going through the apartment search again and am totally missing 521 S. Weller. There are some really crappy apartments out here that charge way more than what I was paying in Seattle.

I'm recommending it -- you'll love living here.
