I wrote the review below, "not sure yet," and am back to report progress. The manager has worked out a solution to my problem, which entails a move to another apartment in the building. At the same time, they are doing everything possible to re-engineer the fan housings to reduce the noise/vibration in my current unit. All in all, management and maintenance have been very responsive. I still wonder about the original design and some of the construction here, but I certainly can't fault the staff. I'll send a final note when I'm moved, but things are looking up so far.
