Great if you can afford it

I've only been here for 6 months, and I'm sorry to say that I'm moving out. The building is beautiful and quiet and the apartment has a great layout. It is super convinient to have the grocier store underneath, and the courtyard is great for walking your dog (unless you want to go for a more lengthy walk).
I'm moving out mostly because I juct can't afford to stay here any more. I signed a six month lease, and to renew I'd have to resign with an increase of rent of almost 10%. That coupled with a monthly parking fee increase to $125 puts this place out of my means. Also, while this apartment is amazingly dog friendly, the surrounding area is not. I like to go for long walks with my dog, but there aren't any parks within walking distance of this place.
I should mention that while I've found this apartment to be really quiet, I've gotten a complaint about noise from my apartment. Apparently the people under me have complained about hearing my footsteps too loudly, which is strange because I live alone with my lazy dog, so the ceilings may be a bit thin.
The staff here is very friendly and I haven't had any problem with them.
So in summary, I think this apartment is a great place in general, but you will have to pay for it. So if the cost is not prohibitive for you, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better place in the area.
