This facility has ups and downs. Things that you should be aware of include : noise - if you rent a studio ( large ) ONLY rent one on the top floor and if possible, on the inside ( facing courtyard ).
You don't want people living above - construction deficiencies amplifie the foot steps and can make a light person sound like an elephant walking on their heals !
Helicopter traffic to a nearby hospital ALWAYS comes over this area - at 3 am it can be an awakening experience ! Many police / fire sirens 24 / 7 .
Yes, the area is still a magnet for the social trash of Seattle. Bums, druggies are
a part of the 'scene'. Baseball / Football seasons bring more drunks and traffic headaches ! Once your in the building, it IS safe .
Location and convenience are a plus. Uwajimaya shopping for food is pricey.
Last, the unit extras are pricey !, but then, downtown seattle is the same ! If you like to a take daily shower and there are two of you, and you use the dishwasher - expect a water/sewer bill of $ 75 - $ 100 per month. parking is $ 125. expect all to go UP.
UPDATE -- recent turnovers in staff and frequency of turnovers are not necessarily a
good sign.
