I'm absolutely astounded at the negative reviews for Uwajimaya that I've seen on this site. I live at UVA and I love it! I don't know if only people who are dissastisfied are writing or what, so that's why I'm adding my voice so others are not misled. The staff is some of the nicest and most helpful I've ever encountered -and I've lived in a lot of different apartment complexes. They are always respectful, prompt in their responses to my requests, and generally a fun group. The maintenance staff is amazing and usually comes to my apartment the same day that I turn in a request for maintenance. Sure, there's city noise... but you're IN THE CITY! Sure, the pricing is high... but again you're in the city and it's completely comparable if not cheaper than other downtown communities and it's worth it. The parking isn't owned or run by the staff here so it doesn't really apply, plus it's cheaper than some Belltown properties I've seen. All in all, this is my favorite place I've ever lived and I think people need to relax about the price or go live in Renton where it's cheap. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7

I have lived at UVA for over 5 years and love this place. When you look at the staff, maintenance people and the surroundings you can't help but like it. We have get togethers in the courtyard, which is beautiful and you don't find at other places that are more expensive. The people that live here are from all walks of life and are friendly. We have a great dog community and it's nice that they provide doggie bags and a bin to put the waste in. It's a nice secure building and I feel very comfortable knowing that we have security that comes around during the night to make sure everything is ok. Rentals are all expensive these days but you need to look at what you are getting for your money and since we have apartment buildings that are close to us that have no amenities at all and are more expensive we look darned good. Does your apartment building take in your packages from UPS, FedEx and the such and dry cleaning for the dry cleaner to pick up and deliver - I bet not. Ours does and that's worth it's weight in gold. Our building is always clean and they are very attentive to the fire alarm system and the sprinkler system to make sure that they are in full working order. They also do checks of everyone's apartment to make sure that the dryer and washer hoses are in good repair, that the vent system is working. I LOVE UVA.
