I have been reading all the comments about West Ridge. I used to manage this place for about 6 months - and I had had enough. What ever you do - don't rent at any Allied Property!!!!!! They are courroupt, and they promote after the "barbie-concenpt". I have worked for Allied for many, many years - but I finally realized what the company is all about, and I left, not only the company - but the country. Today I have a position higher than my boss's boss and make 3 times the wages and work less than half the time. Allied, work people like slaves, pay them poorly, treat them even worth - discrimination is very commen, you don't get promoted unless you look like "Barbie". Your education and experience doesn't count at all!!!! If you want to know more - write me an e-mail - and I WILL tell you the truth!!!! OK, it has been a few days now, and I'm not done telling you the truth about Allied! As I have already told you, I have worked for the company for some years, I know every one and hear every thing. I want you to know that half the managers does not have valid real estate lisence, that means that: that if you signed a lease, and the manager didn't have a lisence, you don't have a lease, and you can walk, and get your money back. There are assistant portfolio managers that don't have a license, and are not beeing asked to get one. I couldn't move off site without getting mine; that cost me an extra month of rent about $ 500.00 for the lisence, that the company didn't pay. I had to get my license in 1 month. The portfolio manager, the assistant manager and the leasing staff are all paid by commition, which means they break the rules all the times to get the rentals, so they can fill their pockets. Unfortunatly, " ---- rolls down hill", and it's always the leasing staff that gets screwed - they don't get their commitions. The upper management, want their piece of the cake, so they can get thir hair and teeth bleached, travel to Mexico on luxury vacations, spending the weekends on a boat in Puget Sound drinking martini's and smoking cigars. Ohh - I alomst forgot: botox treatments to keep the young look. I couldn't get my quarterly bonus, because my boss had not done the budget!!!! By prior boss got upset when she read this message: "how could she do that' We where friend, she even helped me move". Well, FRIENDS, what is that' Guess when it comes down to money, then no one are friends. The "Princess" always wins. "Brown nose", "bud lickers" always wins!!!! Screw your "friends", and you get $$$$ in your pucket. Most of the offices under Allied, are always understaffed, and the company makes up for it by hiring "temps" (no obligations), well most of these people don't care about the propery and it shows. I have interviewed many, many people, but my boss will not hire them - they don't have the "Barbie-look", even thou they have up to 8 years experience, and would be awesome in the office. A friend of mine, who still works for the company has told me, that the only reaseon she is still employeed is that she lost a lot of weight, and looks great. I have fired people for many reason, including theft, only to find that these people get hired through a temp. company to work at one of the sister properties!!!! There are lots and lots of employee that have problems with alcohol, drugs, and sexual haressement.... and they still work for the company!!! I have had many nightmares about this company, grinding my teeth... I can't tell you enough how much I fell so relaxed and happy that I finnaly left the " ---- hole". I have to write this to move on and feel happy. But I still hurt for my former co-workers that got screwed like I did. I wish that the US would have stong unions - and this would never happen. Everyone loose - except the upper management, the are imune, and don't give a ---- as long as they get money in their pockets!!!!
-----------------
The gossip is going like a wild fire now, just because I wrote this. How can my managers not know about how upset I was about the way they treated me' They forced me out of my apartment and into poverty. All because of things out of my control: the rent rates kept going higher and higher, people had a harder and harder time qulifying for an apartment. I was been critized for the lack of occupancy, being told the the owner graceiously had extened out management yet another month, the resident constantly being upset about the rent hikes' I was SOOOOO stressed, and near a break down. When I called my boss to let her know that I had to leave to see a councelor, she asked me to stay a few more hours - I couldnt leave the property - even I was crying!!!! Allied graceouisly gave me another potition, but for 8.00 dollars less an hour, having to travel to Ellensburg. It took me month to get remebursed for my expences. When I came back and was promissed the same pay as I got at West Ridge, I was cut 1.35 and hour and had lost my rent credit of 250.00 a month. This is petty. How can you treat a longtime employee like that' I have nothing good to say about Allied - just stay away.

I burst out laughing when I read this review, because I agree with Seattle714 - it is SO obviously a management review. And I could've written Seattle714's response - he/she is 100% right on all counts. If you read the inspection reports, you would realize you would be buying a death trap - substandard materials with mold and water damage and the admission that the building didn't even meet the apartment building codes of the year it was built! They were going to do almost no work to the place - pretty much whatever they were legally obligated to do and nothing else - and we learned that our townhouse with garage, which cost us $995 in rent, would cost us about $2500 a month with mortgage/homeowners dues/taxes!!! That's just insane! Especially since the law says that the developer only has to give a warranty on the stuff they put in (like kitchen cabinets) and NOTHING ELSE. Run from this place. I loved living at WRP and had no intention of moving until all this happened. But I'm living elsewhere now and very happy to be out and not dealing with this insanity. If you can afford to buy, there are brand new construction condos that don't cost much more to buy than this one, are larger, and built with much better quality.

Strange things are afoot... My above posting was in response to a completely different review. I can't explain as to why my extremely lengthy response is found here, except, maybe the original author has edited their post.

To Mariarose,
I don't know who you are, and it dosen't matter. I'm extreamly good at my job, and have almost 15 years experience in the field. Today, I earn almost 1/2 mil. dollars a year doing this job. I have never lost a case i court, and can keep my occupancy up, and profit high. AND I'M THE BEST OF RESIDENT RETENSION!!! You don't seem to have any understanding of how employees should be trated....hope you will not see your self in the unemployment line...because you will be the last one to be offered a job. I have NEVER been disgruntled at ANY time in my empoyment history. Who do you work for? Allied? the SLAVE FACTORY? Have some pride in your life and take care of your self.

Maybe perhaps if you were making half a million a year you would not have the time to be on here complaining all of the time. You sound like an angry person. Actually in the office all you did as I remember you taking over, is smoke like a chimney and be rude to us residents who had genuine questions.
