I've lived in WRP for almost 2 years. Original owners were WONDERFUL and I felt that I had found a long term home that was safe, well-cared for, and neighborly. Once Allied took over last year, that all changed. I do not feel safe living here anymore. The managers used to be very discriminating about who moved in, but Allied is not. I've personally experienced a *new* neighbor threatening me, and I've also seen kids getting arrested on the property last year. Loud music and yelling out in the parking lots late at night...the list goes on and on. My rent has also been raised every 6 months at the end of each lease period. There is no tenant appreciation or loyalty - even though they tell you they care about you as a tenant. There are signs talking about 'improvements'. Well, those were already scheduled for the condo-conversion. So far, 'improvements' have meant painting parking spaces. Last time I checked, that was called maintenance. The paint is chipping on the outside of the buildings badly. The stairs are rotting through. Also, I've heard that they plan on only allowing 10 visitor parking spots for the entire complex of over 200 units. The lighting at night on the grounds is very poor - I wouldn't feel safe walking it at night. The place has been around since '89, I would hope they would re-paint. The staff at the office is a revolving door of people who are not friendly. I've never written a review before, but I felt compelled to after feeling so sad about how my *home* has gone downhill. If I am proposed one more rent increase this year, I will have to come to terms with the fact that this is no longer a wonderful place to call home, but a money-grubbing operation.
