Overall, a good place to live

I cannot relate to the negative things written here. We found the office staff to always be very accomodating and professional. The unit itself was clean and everything worked as it was supposed to work. Maintenance responded to the one time we did need something fixed. We loved the view in our upper level apartment. When it came time for us to leave because we found a house to buy, we had to break our lease prematurely. The management company was very gracious about it and did not penalize us for moving out sooner than the six month lease was up. They could have charged us all kinds of penalties, but they did not. We thought the staff was very friendly, always saying a warm 'hello' to us when we were out walking our dog. Really, the only unpleasant thing about living there was having to listen to the little children next door tromping up and down the stairways; but then, apartment living is not really ideal for small children, and who can fault them for doing what children naturally do' One complaint I would have is that upon moving out, we did a very thorough job of cleaning the apartment up, shampooing the carpeting, and even filling in the tiny nail holes we had made from pictures hanging on walls. When we got our deposit refund, they had nit-picked to the point where there was very little left of that deposit due to their extensive deductions for this and that. We felt that that was pretty much their way of keeping as much as they could of our money. Maybe that is standard procedure in the apartment game. I don't know, never having been a renter before in my life.
