An absolute mistake!

I moved into this apartment with my father after my parents divorced. He had been living there for a short time by himself before I decided to move in with him. His main motivating factor was that it was inexpensive. This is the point someone should have told him, you get what you pay for.
My experience here was fairly miserable. The manager seemed to have a bias against young people. I was sixteen at the time I moved in, and nineteen when we moved out. When I say he is biased, I am not saying it just based on my own experiences, but on those of others as well. He would give me a hard time when I was outside on the porch with friends of mine (which had an oh-so-classy view of the Albertson's parking lot, ever a charm at night). He even had the nerve to assume that just because we appeared to be in the same age bracket that we knew some kids that were skateboarding in the grocery store parking lot.
Yeah, overall, that doesn't sound too bad, but I was lucky because I was living with my dad. Another young person that lived there was kicked out because one month he said he'd accept some waiver she gets for discounted rent, and for no reason, the next month, he said he wouldn't accept it. From my experience, she was not a loud or rowdy tenent, so I see no reason for his change of mind. Another group of people I knew were all young people splitting rent in an apartment, and they were told to get out once their lease was up for no reason. As far as I know, they didn't have problems paying rent - just problems being middle aged.
So definitely, if you're young, KEEP LOOKING.
Also keep looking if you don't like apartments with exceptionally thin walls and bug problems. Every unit I was ever in had unwelcome guests in the form of spiders, sometimes cockroaches, and a few bugs that, in all honesty, I'd need a book to name. They weren't crawling all everywhere at all times, but they definitely made their presence known.
I would also not recommend this apartment complex for pet owners. While they do accept pets, they charge a fee PER MONTH PER PET, and it is not at all refundable. We had between one and four cats the entire time we lived there, and none of that money went towards repairing the bit of carpet the cats, ah, marked. It just went toward lining some jerkhole's pocket.
All in all, if you're looking for a cheap apartment and you really don't mind a few critters keeping you company, rude management (unless you're at least over thirty), a shoddy pet policy, almost no guest parking parking, and really enjoy people-watching the Alberston's parking lot from your tiny porch, then hey, this is clearly the place for you.
But don't take that as a recommendation, because it's not.

I don't think this kid knows what he (she?) is talking about, I'm 18 and the management has always been friendly with me, especially after I clearly made it known that I wanted to rent. The pet fee is a mere $10 per month, and a $100 payment for cats ($200 for dogs). there is no lease, so they were wrong there, and what can you expect living in the middle of Silverdale? A mountain view with water and birds waking you up in the morning, this isn't New York, but it's not the suburbs either, it's a city, don't complain about the view, your father knew what he was buying.
