Parking: No problem if you have one car. It's great to have a covered spot. If you need additional parking, it might be tricky at certain times of the day.

Noise: I rarely heard the neighbors. Once in a while there would be a whining dog or a car revving it's engine, but overall it was wonderfully quite.

Grounds: Well kept lawns and shrubery (appeared to be done by a contractor). If you report issues to the director, they are dealt with immediately. It is safest to go directly to her to make sure things get done.

Safety: Loved the lit covered parking and mailbox area. Most of the stairwells were well illuminated. On a few occasions the entire Ridgetop area was struck by car vandals, but the management at Outlook was great at reporting incidents for the protection of residents. It reminded me to clear out my car!

Construction: Typical apartment living. Walls weren't exactly soundproof, fixtures were standard to cheap, and the paint job (interior/exterior) was of equal quality. Some rooms are better insulated than others and the heaters are a bit odd, but they worked. The water stinks (literally). It is so full of iron you can smell it (and see it).

Maintenance: You have your good guys and your not so good guys. I have to give the crew overall a shady rating. I wasn't really sure if I trusted them with access to my place. Some things were fixed as requested, others fell to the wayside -- unless the director was notified. Their idea of "clean" did not match mine.

Office staff: Friendly overall. The director is seriously concerned about the comfort and happiness of the residents. I think she does what she can to better the property.

Overall: I would recommend this property for people who don't have a LOT of super-valuable assets. It offers gorgeous views of the Olympics and a really clean outdoor environment. The rent is a bit high, but it is everywhere else too. You pay for the view, the cleanliness, and (by far) to have pets. I don't know about the security deposit return yet...but I'm leaving the place cleaner than it was when I arrived.
