Quite a disappointment

I have to admit, the apartment/town home we lived in was very roomy and for the most part very well priced. My biggest problem was with the cable system. I don't know what kind of mickey mouse set up they have but no one seems to be able to fix it when it goes out. We constantly lost channels. Also, the price for the cable was a bit high ($36/month for basic cable with only about 15 channels worth watching). Everywhere else in the county you can get digital cable for $10 more per month and also get hundreds of channels. The high speed internet service was also extremely expensive when we checked into it ($79/month). I also had a problem with the water bill. We were paying over $20 per month when we moved out. We now own a home and pay half that. The final problem I had was that the maintenance crew started using the green belt as its own personal dump. All the yard waste and building debris was being thrown down the hill near our place. The maintenance crew seems pretty inept overall. They did very little when we pointed out earthquake damage and they never did replace the light cover in our kitchen that fell during the 2001 earthquake. My advice to potential renters is to beware. All services are provided by the apartment complex and they over charge! I guess that is how they keep their rents low though. On the plus side however, the residents for the most part are very quiet.
