This was the worst living experience I have EVER had.
First of all, the person who arranged our rental took off, and the staff at the leasing office when we moved wasn't even aware of our existence. We were coming from overseas and unfortunately had to do everything online and by phone. Boy I wish we would have known what we were getting into.
We were promised a free Ipod upon move in which we never received. The clubhouse with the indoor pool, gym, and free tanning bed were a selling point to us, however we were not informed that the clubhouse would be closed for renovations during our entire residency. We also asked for a "light remodel" unit, and were not informed until about to get on the plane that we could not move in until March 15 (after we were promised a move in date of the 13th), so we had to pay out of pocket for a hotel room for a couple of nights. After all of that, the apartment was still not ready on our move in date. There were no faces on any of the kitchen or bathroom cabinets, no doors on any of the rooms or closets, a hole in the ceiling above the fireplace where a light fixture should have been. It was the night that we moved in that I was still calling the leasing office, because there was still a vendor lock on the apartment and anyone could come in at anytime. We were the only ones WITHOUT access to our own place, and couldn't even leave to get dinner without fear of leaving our things in the unit. There were renovations going on throughout the complex during our entire residency which we were not told would be taking place. (They were already planned for and had started when we arranged the rental, they could have let us know). There was CONSTANT noise and times when we couldn't leave our apartment due to pressure washing and painting out front and a period of time where we couldn't use our deck and had extreme disturbances by people rebuilding the patio. This also was a complex where I felt unsafe walking our dog after dark due to the fact that there was one instance of vulgar vandalism and two instances of police with dogs chasing people through the parking lot and lawns. The management was very hard to reach and when you did they were very unhelpful and unfriendly unless you were bringing in a rent check. The apartment looked nice at first glance but after being there for a few days you realize that things are put together with the cheapest materials available by a maintenance staff who, although very nice, did not have the experience to do some of the things they were responsible for. We had to call to have things fixed constantly. We actually decided to buy a house early and pay an extra month's rent just to break our lease and get out, and after the extra month's rent and keeping our security and pet deposit, the management still made us pay to have the carpet cleaned, clean the apartment top to bottom, and do touch up painting ourselves, all which left the apartment in BETTER shape then when we moved in due to it not being ready and maintenance and vendors coming in and out and not cleaning up after themselves. Sorry for the book to read, but you do not want to get into this place, you will live to regret it. Don't let the fancy new name and paint job fool you! P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
