Lived there for a year. After I moved out, I not only didn't get my deposit back - they charged me for damages that weren't there. They refused to do a walk through before I moved out - even though I asked numerous times. It is "their policy" to go through the apartment without the tenant - this just seems shady.
Not worth the price.
They ask neighbors to "turn each other in" for supposed violations of policies.
Once you get to a month to month lease - they want to tack an extra $100 a month onto what is already the highest rent in Spokane.

I had the exact same experience. I was charged thousands for damages that i did not do, also, i was not notified or invited to the final walkthrough. They are jerks in the office and accused me of allowing my brother to live in my apartment just because he spend the night a few times a month. They actually ARGUED with me about it!

I am not questioning what happened to you but I have rented several apts in my lifetime and I have never known a tenant to be present during a final walk through. If you didnt feel the charges were justified, you should seek an attorney. Don't let them get away with it.
