I am the property manager for this community. Due to the large number of apartments in our community (178, and the nature of the industry, it is not uncommon to have an occasional complaint of some kind. Keep in mind that at www.aptratings.com you are reading only one side of a story. As a property manager I know that most of the tenants living in my communities are pleased with their residential experience.
When things are going well for someone they may take the time to show appreciation for that service, even if the service is expected; however most often this does not happen. When a customer does not feel that the service was performed to their satisfaction however, they seek out any avenue possible to vent their frustration if the end result is not to their liking. That is what I personally feel that this web site is allowing. It is not accurately portraying the true benefits and positives of the community, it is merely allowing someone to speak about their negative experiences. I have taken the time to read several apartment buildings' ratings. In Spokane, and in other places in the U.S.' database of this site. What I found is that with a few exceptions, persons are not going to www.aptratings.com to rate how well an apartment is but rather how negative one may be or how negative an experience they may have had. I am also quite dissatisfied that these persons who take the time to go to this site and rate apartment communities are not willing to state their names, even if it is only a first initial and last name or their initials so that management may try to contact these persons regarding their experiences.
At least one of the "anonymous" persons writing here had their situation resolved amicably even though it was greatly exaggerated on this website post. I have noticed, as I stated earlier, that this person has not bothered to update the aptratings.com site as it allows, to reflect this.
If you read the disclaimer that www.aptratings.com has posted at the bottom of this site you will note that of course they don't endorse or validate any of the comments. If I were looking for an apartment I would definitely visit the community itself rather than rely on a minority opinion before making a selection.
