The apartment seemed nice when we looked at it, but within 24 hours of moving in we realized that the people below us smoked constantly and it was leaking into our apartment. I have asthma and we have a baby so we did NOT want to be subjected to second hand smoke every minute we were home, it was just disgusting.

We talked to management about this and they said all they could do is send over the maintenance man. All he did was tape a piece of paper over a hole in our closet, which didn't fix the problem. Management was never in the office during business hours, no sign saying they would be back in 5 min, they just weren't there.

Parking was a nightmare, we had a clearly marked, assigned space, but people always parked there. When we confronted people who would park in our space their response was always "oh well I just needed to park there for a minute" yeah, like I really care! I have to bring a baby and a bunch of groceries up three flights of stairs, I'm not parking on the opposite side of the complex when I'm supposed to have a space next to my apartment.

There were always teenagers hanging around the play area and the few times I tried to take my son to play there, we couldn't because they were just hanging on the swings and smoking. Seriously, does everyone in Spokane smoke' gross. It took 3 months to get the smoke smell out of our clothes.

Sound travels really well, the apartment below us liked to have parties and despite complaints to management, we still had to listen to them playing music and talking loudly until 3am some nights.

After we moved out we were never sent our deposit or anything else. We had to call the office and were told that our deposit was used to pay our last electric bill, which was odd, because we had paid that bill shortly after we moved. We had to call the electric company and found out that the bill had been paid twice, so we had to get a refund through them. It was such a hassle.

Sorry you had to go through that. I had issues with smoke also and the management didn't do anything. Yes, I think everyone smokes in Spokane. After I left, life got better. I don't think Spokane is such a great place to live but this was a really bad place to rent! There were gang signs on the parking stalls when I left. Managment knew about it and didn't do anything. Basically, the management at this place does NOTHING at all. Totally a RIP OFF!

This is a very accurate description of these horrible apartments. Most, if not all, the problem lies with the current manager TIM. Get rid of him and it might be a bit more pleasant around here. Though the appliances will remain 20 years old. When something goes wrong they simply take the same frig or other appliance from a unit someone has moved out of, probably b/c they can't get a working fridge or w/e, and then give the other non working appliance to you LOL! like they are fooling anyone? A friend had to sue him in small claims court to get fee's accrued b/c Tim had his truck illegally towed. My friend won the lawsuit and Tim had to pay court costs plus the fees but who need that kind of BS. My advise is STAY AWAY FROM HSC AND MGR TIM WHEREVER HE GOES.

I agree with everyone. Tims the biggest joke that ever walked this earth. He's an arrogant piece of work. You complain he tells you to deal with it. All he is ever does is sit outside and smoke. He was to nice to me when I was signing the lease,after that game over,I wanna punch him in the face! I'm seriously thinking about paying to get out of this lease to get away from this hell hole. DON'T LIVE HERE!

Oh my god! I wish I knew all of you who hate Tim because I'm in the same boat. We could have a Tim Is A Douche Bag club. He was nice until the lease was signed. I feel sorry for the girl in the office. She's wrangled to a really bad manager. I hope she doesn't learn too much from him. Hey Tim, if you're reading this, why don't you quit and make a LOT of people happy? Jackass.
