3 bedroom is huge, but management was a pain

I rented a 3 bedroom for 6 months a little while ago. My rent was always on time, and I never parked in the wrong place. I didn't have any problems with the old manager, but the new manager was somewhat nosey. There were problems with people parking in the wrong places (in the fire lane, etc). The vinyl flooring in the kitchen should have been replaced because it was badly damaged, but they left it. My roomate and I cleaned the apartment until it was spotless, but we still didn't receive all of our deposit back. The grounds were kept decently, but there was a problem with tenents picking up after their dogs. I didn't really enjoy living in this complex because there were lots of noisy and unsupervised kids around (I had to tell a little girl to stop throwing rocks at the cars!) and the slider door to the balcony didn't open. They told me that the slider was installed wrong and they couldn't do anything about it. I'm glad I never had any real maintenance problems, because I got the feeling they wouldn't get fixed. There was an issue with the laundry room. My roomate found that someone had defecated in the washer THREE SEPARATE TIMES. My advice: find a good laundromat if you are interested in living there.

Trudy (new manager) is great. Nicole (old manager) *never* returned calls or answered her phone, or was ever in the office. All these "new rules" have been in the lease since the start - Trudy is actually doing her job and enforcing them. The rules are there for a reason - to make the entire complex livable for everyone.
