My major problem with this place seems minor...but it's so frustrating, that I have to complain about it. When I moved in Nov. 07, I noticed only the kitchen window had a screen. There was no sliding screen door onto the balcony, no screens in bedrooms. I made note of it when I moved in, but since it was Nov., I let it go. In March or April 08, I started calling the manager about twice a month, and mentioning my lack of screens every time I paid rent. I was told the maintenance guy would take care of it...that he needed to measure...that he needed to order the screens for the whole complex...blah, blah, blah. I just called today and was basically told the same story. It was more than 60 today, and I had my windows open, but because I have a cat, I can only crack windows or he'll escape. Of course bugs fly in at every opportunity.
The stairs on the opposite side are cracked, with rebar sticking out. They are not to code--they are uneven and unsafe.
If you see my attached picture, you can see how there was over a foot of snow on the parking covers--which caused them to collapse on three cars. Luckily, mine was not one of them. However, I'm sure it would've been cheaper to hire a couple guys to shovel the snow off than to pay them for a week to remove the metal, shovel ANYWAY, AND pay damages!
The only reason I'm staying here is because I like the location and family is nearby. The second I find comparable housing for cheaper, or can buy something, I'm leaving.
