I've spent time reading through a ton of reviews for Apex and responses, I've lived here for 3 years and yes it has its pros and cons. It sounds like a lot of bitter people to some extent though. First of all, when you have a complex the size of Apex you can't please everyone and there will be problems. That's a con of being a renter, however it is expensive so it should be held to a higher standard. There are noise issues, unfortunately some people don't care you wake up before dawn to go to work and the music and loud people outside are disrespectful, not always but it happens. I park in the garage and there has never been an issue on my P1 parking level that I know of. My neighbors are nice and we look out for each other. The staff is quick to respond to maintenance issues and Jim is really friendly. The girls in the office are ok, but yes could use a few tips on how to dress and be a little more professional. Why do people care if the manager is the son of the owner? What business is that of anyone's? To me that says, at least the building is in good hands, he of all people does not want problems and wants the best for the community. Think about it people. Like I said I've been here 3 years, it has changed since I first moved in, there are more people, some a little shaddy and maybe the process of who they let in needs to change. Maybe we could hold "community" meetings for people to address their concerns. I want to live in a nice clean community and this place can be really great at times. It's summer now, I have a pool and cabanna I can enjoy, a place to work out, tanning beds, a sauna, it's like living in a resort. But yes after the sun goes down things happen. Security at night would be nice so if there is drunk people they can address that and enforce noise laws. According to the city of Tacoma noise should seize at 11pm, I shouldn't hear my neighbors bass rumbling my walls. Like I said it's not every night, but it happens. The garbage is gross though. The elevator smells like it sometimes so that needs to be cleaned more. But I can't complain about the apartment itself. It's big, the appliances are way nicer than most in other apartments, I rarely do have issues with something breaks, but when my microwave went out they ordered me a new one and I got it in like 2 days. The manager isn't superman, he's human, he does what he can to make you happy but things happen. My advice or opinion is overall it's a great place. It's beautiful. You get a lot out of your rent. Simple solution, you've read the reviews, when you go in to rent be real with them. Ask who lives around you, maybe schedule an afterhours visit or drive by yourself at night to see what its like.
