When we moved in we were told the complex was two years old. From the start there were problems. The window over the kitchen sink started to fall out six months after we moved in. When it rained a waterfall would come down from the moulding over the door to the main bathroom soaking the carpet in the bath and hall. The sliding door on to the balcony would not lock. The tub in the main bath was installed incorrectly and leaked into the unit below us. The complex alledged T-1 access but such ineptitude was involved in installing the original wiring that the whole complex had to be rewired. Three times in the two and a half years we lived there the carports had to be repainted because large sections of paint peeled and flaked. This was probably because the paint was applied to bare metal (no primer) when it was below 45 degrees and raining. The complex removed its switchboard and contracted with a phone service supplier that so screwed up our phone line that we spent two weeks unable to send or receive calls.

Very Interesting! I have lived here since Aravia opened and have never had a problem. My apartment home is beautiful and is built with the quality of a custom home. We have rounded corners, designer fixtures, an engraved mantle and an island in the kitchen with beautiful maple cabinetry. I am totally shocked to read this review. I am friends with many of my neighbors and have never heard any complaints of this nature. The only thing that I did agree with in this reveiw was about the peeling paint on the carports. But from what I heard from the office, this was actually a paint recall problem, and the painting company came out to fix it. Seems pretty innocent to me! Anyhow, I hope no one takes to heart this review. I would guess this person has an overall poor outlook on like. Don't let this one bad apple allow you to miss out on the best thing in Tacoma! It is great here! Come see for yourself!

A paint recall??? Why hasn't it been fixed if that is all it is??? It does sound like this person works here.
