Aravia has been an exceptional home for my husband, myself and our 4 year old daughter for the last 6 months. After searching for over a month for a good apartment, we found Aravia and have been so grateful. The manager of the property is excellent, professional and extremely kind. The quality of construction and features in our apartment are exceptional and by far better than any other apartment we looked at in the surrounding areas. Two of my favorite features of Aravia are the property location and maintenance staff. Aravia is set off the major roads and has an INCREDIBLE view of Mt. Rainier. As a military family, I am often home alone with my daughter and have never once felt unsafe in any way. There is always a Sheriff patrolling the parking lots at night. The maintenance staff keeps the property spotless and can always be seen around the property working to keep it that way.
As for amenities, the workout area is nice and overlooks the beautiful pool and hot tub area, which are in a great setting. We love the clubhouse and it is great for gatherings. It is also GREAT to have a nice sized kitchen, LOTS of BIG windows, and our own washer and dryer in our unit. But they are not super-sized, so don't expect to get your queen-sized comforter in there and not have it break. Be realistic.
The only downside to Aravia is a smaller amount of parking compared to larger apartment neighborhoods. I highly recommend renting a carport space. If you leave valuables laying out in your car there is a chance they will get taken. As a military family and in a military town, there are always people out and about who will take advantage of that and know to look for it...regardless of the apartments you live in. If you are in the military, you know you've heard that briefing a thousand times. So be smart. There are the usual noises that come with any apartment, such as water flow of showers or washers, but overall the apartments have been so quiet and enjoyable. Remember, apartments are not secluded homes. There are neighbors on ALL sides, so there will be sounds every now and then. Again, be realistic.
I challenge you to find better anywhere in the area. We were very blessed to find Aravia and are looking forward to spending another year here.
