I agree with all of the other tenants and I am sorry I didn't find this website earlier. I have lived at Kensington Gate for two years and we have gone through a lot of management changes.

The four female managers before our current managers were friendly and cared about their tenants' concerns. The new managers only care about covering their butts when it comes to paperwork and I have gone back and forth with them on several issues.

Our cars have been broken into and vandalized on several occasions. After reporting the first incident to Geri, she commented that it was probably one of my friends. I cannot tell you how offended I was by her discriminatory and condescending attitude. It is obvious that she has either never received training on how to deal with people or is simply socially ignorant. When it comes down to it, the Kensington managers treat their tenants like trash,when in all reality most tenants work harder than them and have more education than they will ever have.

The maintenance situation is a nightmare. Make sure to ask for a copy of requests that you put in, or the jobs may never get done. I recently put in an order to have my lock fixed because I noticed that the key was sticking. They claimed to have fixed the lock, but I still found myself locked out of my apartment on one occasion. My roommate demanded that they change the locks and was told that it was a thirty dollar charge. Can you imagine sitting out in the freezing cold, not being able to get into your apartment, and being told by management that you had to pay for them to fix it'

I can write pages and pages about the horrific circumstances at Kensington Gate. Fortunately, I log every encounter with management and maintanence and I have even begun taking digital photos that prove that some Kensington residents are discriminated against.

I hear that management reads these reviews and doesn't take them into consideration since any person can write a comment on this website. I suggest that you review these stories carefully because word will spread about this website and I hope that this page is filled with honest comments about your "community."
