I moved in to the Lakes in 2005 when it was owned by a private company. One of the main reasons for moving to this apt complex was it wasnt owned by a big property mngmnt company. Soon after I moved in the complex was sold to Pinnical Properties. That is when my nightmare started. I had a mold issue, a leaking bathroom, a bird had nested in the wall. All things that I was told would be handled but it was never addressed. I moved out finally when my 2 lease was up and the resigning price went from $550 when I first moved in, to $650 after living there 9 months. The last lease they wanted me to sign was a 12mo lease at $795 or a one bedroom. After moving they tried to come after me for the mold and leaking issues but dropped that when I showed proof that they never addressed or fix the problem.
On my move in i was given a covered spot and then was told I would have to start paying for it when my second lease started.

I am very happy I moved out of the Lakes at Fife. My apartment was close to "The Lake" I had to battle mosquitoes lingering outside my door. I mentioned this a few times and they said they have taken measures to correct the issue.
I don't think so, you better bring a good supply of RAID when you move in with you. The model apartment is nice and fine and dandy, but that is one apartment where it is not exposed so bad to the mosquitoes.
The "Lake" doesn't do much to show the real "Lake" in the winter time, the lake or pond whatever you call it collects branches and leaves from the trees, it looks like a mess. Walk around this complex at night before you rent here.
The pretty girls in the office are just that, they belong to the Fashion show and not in the office.
Concerning the birds in the attic? In the spring time you will be awaken to lovely birds chirping in the attic. Never mind that you had a midnight shift, they are there to sing lovely bird songs to you.
Good luck on the move out process, they sent me to collection after they didn't get me to pay for the curtains to be cleaned. I thought that's what the deposit was used for?
