Here are my major complaings:
1. Due to the landscaping behind our building, the drainage setup (there is a hose that runs along the building situated so that all of the water drains behind apartment) and the excessive watering of the grass, the grassy area is always saturated with water, and is always a muddy mess. When we originally moved into the apartment we were told by the staff that it was a great location, because we could park behind the building and come in the sliding glass door (the back door doesn??t lock from the outside, so I??m not sure I follow her logic). She also told us that it would be very easy to move in, since we would be able to move our furniture right in the back door. Since you are unable to see the actual apartment before you sign the lease, we had no idea about this until we moved in, and tried to utilize the back door. Also, the sprinkler is set up so that it not only waters the lawn, but also completely soaks our entire porch every morning, making it hard to keep anything out there that is not waterproof. We complained 3 times about the water and the sprinklers, and nothing was done. We didn??t even ever get a response.
2. Apparently the management staff believes that the most effective means of communication is taping notes to mailboxes, the evening prior to any event that might affect residents. Due to this poor communication, we came home one evening to find all of our belonging that were on the porch, dumped in the middle of the back lawn, in over an inch of mud and water. The maintenance people had moved my belongings into the mud to pressure wash the building, and left them there.
3. During the late Summer baseboard heaters were infested with flying ants. We complained, and the management sent someone to ??spray?? basically, they just sprayed Raid into the heater. A week later they were back. Only after complaining 3 times, did the management bother to hire a professional to take care of it.
4. When we moved out we were charged for three extra days. When I tried to get some clarification on why we were charged, I was basically told, it??s in the lease. When I asked questions I was promptly read the section of the lease over and over again. From the wording in the lease I thought we shouldn??t have been charged, so I again asked for clarification. I was told ??I??m not a lawyer, I don??t know??If you have questions, you should contact the Washington Attorney General??. This has never been resolved. They also charged us for an extra key (Which we never received) and cleaning, although the lady who did the walk through with me commented on how clean the apartment was. The walkthrough is pointless, because the person who does it ??doesn??t assess the charges??.
Worst experience EVER renting.

i feel this guy's pain. I have lived in lakeside landing for about 7 months now and CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUT!! the problem is, when you first visit the apartments they seem nice. there is a gate gate and a pool and the lobby looks nice. you WANT to like the place so you dont' see any of the bad. only the good. then something goes wrong, and it will, and the staff blows you off and you begin to see that this place is nothing special. In fact it can be a nightmare.
sure, no apartment complex is perfect, but this has been a horrible experience. listen to these reveiews!! they are all negative except for a couple of fake posts by the managment. dont' waste your time or money here!!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain also. I had a problem with ants in my appt but when i told the staff about it they just told me to spray bugs spray on the areas they were at! It took tons of my own money to get rid of the bug problem beacuse they refused to do anything. and the one thing I hated the most was the taping of notes on the doors and mailboxes!!!! over the stupidest things i would come home to a note pasted on my door. Yet when you ask them to just call you they say they can't. Also i had many times they called me about late rent (which wasn't late) and i told them they never sent me a note. They would argue that they mailed me one which the funny part is i would never recieve... must just be that darn mail man stealing the mail......

Yes. Can't wait to get out of this dump because of lack of management. The manager puts on a fake smile while basically flipping the tenants the bird. Also your private mail ends up in others boxes because the mailman doesn't care either - can anyone say identity theft? Avoid this trap.
