I moved into Lakeside Landing in February of 2008. I am a TCC student and like the fact that I can walk across the street to school. One of my Professors lived here before he and his wife bought a house and he recommended the property to me. I uploaded a picture, it's the view from my back patio. Sadly, in May my original apartment building burned down. The staff was so helpful, I was really impressed. They offered the option of moving out and getting all of my deposits back right then or transferring to another unit. I chose to move into another unit and I'm very happy I did. I see a lot of complaints about late fees, pet fees, etc and I just wanted to say it is all listed in the lease. I did tour my unit before moving into it. When my faucet leaked it was repaired the next day. When my refrigerator kept going into defrost mode they attempted to repair it, when the repair was unsuccessful it was replaced the next day. The grounds are beautiful, the complex is safe, secure, and quiet. When someone comes to the gate they can call you from the box and you can let them in by pushing 9 on your phone. Visitors don't need to scroll for your name, you can look it up yourself then give them the code to enter that calls you from the box. I will renew my lease and I'm sure I'll stay until I'm finished with school, maybe even longer.

Don't say you weren't warned if you make the big big big mistake I did and move in here. The office staff turn over is so fast the entries and exits would cool you off on a sunny day. It looks like management hates us and this place as much as we hate this dump. Molding walls covered by siding, a steaming cesspool "lake" and management from some horror movie, that run hot and cold. Hot when you are thinking of renting, ice cold and totally uninterested in following the lease for your safety after you rent. Laundry is great if you love getting your clothes all ruined by bleach from poor repairs. Repair is great if you don't mind them breaking your things and not doing the work right the first 15 times. The noise is awful. The neighbors are whacked. The duck poo all over should have been my first clue, this place is pretty sh***y. If you move in, don't say you weren't warned. Counting the seconds until I can get outta this nightmare and relax laughing at the SUCKERS still in the lake side web.

I'm sorry you are such an angry person. I'm concerned about your response to my post. "Don't say you weren't warned if you make the big big big mistake I did and move in here." Do you not understand that I live here and am very happy here? I guess that makes me one of your neighbors and according to you "The neighbors are whacked" I have met some wonderful people living here, obviously I have not met you.

It's funny how annoyed it makes me reading all these reviews....but it just blows my mind how much people complain and what they're complaining about. I agree with GinaRae with stating that it's a "safe and quiet" place to live. I feel that if you aren't enjoying your stay, then you are the only one to blame. We have lived here for nearly a year and we just absolutely love it. There are not "hidden surprises" - as you stated Gina, it is all stated in the lease. If you're late, you get a late fee. If you're loud, you might get a notice to keep the noise down. It's not rocket science, follow the rules and you'll be happy. It might not be a place for young college kids who want to party and be careless. You do have to keep your patio presentable, take out your garbage (not leaving it on the front step), and you do have to pay rent on time. But these are things that are presented to you at lease sign-in. And in response to laundry concerns: when you have a mal-function with a load of laundry, you can fill out a form to get reimbursed. I had a load of laundry that didn't run a full cycle (left them soapy and wet) but I just ran it again and they paid me for the first cycle. It was just a matter of spending an additional 30 minutes to do it over, but such is life. I've had worse happen to me. I like it here, and I would definatly suggest it.
