I have only lived here since mid December 2008, but I have not had any of the problems that all these people complain about. I also noticed that every negative review is kind of hard to follow because it consists mostly of swear words and horrible grammar. As for the apartments...There is quite a bit of dog poop but to some extent that's just part of living in a place that allows dogs. Sometimes people forget to bring something out to pick it up; it's happened to me before, but then I usually go back and get it later. I have had one maintenance problem, my water heater was leaking so I had no hot water for a couple days. I called in the evening and the maintenance man came over the next morning, (a Sunday) to fix it. That was in early January and I haven't had another problem with it. I also don't see the office staff as rude or incompetent. I have dealt with most of the girls working here and they have been friendly and helpful to me. A few of them know me by name and remember where I work which I think is pretty impressive considering I only go in there to pay rent once a month and the fact that this is a huge complex. I have only seen the dumpster full once and I haven't seen evidence of drug dealing or car break ins. I was warned about the potential car break-ins when I moved in and because of that make a point to not leave valuables in my car which I think is common sense. I have never seen the police here or the security guys sleeping in their cars. I also have always been able to park right in front of my apartment and there are several extra spaces nearby. That could depend on what building you live, building S is fine, as are the other buildings near the cabana. The parking spaces are a little tight but if you know how to drive you'll be fine. As far as the management not de-icing the driveway, I did see a couple cars stuck but they were sports cars that didn't have a chance to get up that hill in the snow anyway. Also, getting up a snowy/icy hill takes some experience that a lot of people in western Washington don't have because it doesn't snow here very often. Since I haven't moved out yet I can't comment on whether management is fair with the refund of the deposit but when I do move out I'll add that to the review. And I have seen several pit bulls on the property but I've never complained so I can't comment on the manager's reactions.

Another officer person, cute. If you ARE actually a tenant, give them a few months before they turn on you. That's how they work.

This has to be an office staff member writing this trying to sound like a tenant. I have pictures of a 4 wheel drive JEEP setting at the bottom of the hill during the snow. Just 3 days ago, I went to the trash compactor and it was full and over-flowing with garbage as it is every other day. The office staff changes every 6 months. Went in there back in November and Roxanne had just started as the manager. Went back again in January and there was a new manager. I've been here since March 2004 and I can't tell you how many staff members been in there since. I don't even go in there anymore except to pay rent. Parking here sucks after 5pm. Why did it take you a few days to get a "new" water heater? State law says that you have to have one within 24 hours. "S" building is in the ghetto part and there's a tad more parking then the hill. And even better car port access. On the hill, parking is very tight. You also have dumpsters and the ones on the hill were taken out supposely to making more parking but now those spaces are "Fire Zones". They also told me to put the garabe in my car and drive it to the copactor when I asked how I was to get the garbage to the compactor. So, I'm paying $40 a month to put smelly garbage in my car and driving it to the trash. Dog s**t isn't "normal" in a place that allows dogs. People need to clean up after their mutts but don't. My neighbors dogs bark at all hours of the day and night and the office staff won't do anything about it. They told me to write a report and turn it in to them so they'll have a record of it. But if you go in there now, they'll deny it because the person that told me that is not there due to staff rotation. You figure with "security" walking around, that car break ins shouldn't be an issue. But since there's no lights in the parking lot, it's perfect for someone that wants to break in to cars. They can't even figure out who has been putting soap in the fountain for the past 5 years. As far as the police here, they probably gotten tired of coming here so much. And drug dealing goes on a lot here if you take your blinders off. Anytime you see people going to an apartment and leaving 2 minutes later all the time, then that person is dealing drugs. Of course the office knew me by name because I was always there trying to get stuff fixed. I had to threaten lawsuits and turning them into the state before they fixed anything. So, either, you're a real tenant and haven't been here long enough or you're part of the staff and trying to make this place sound better but 55 out of 61 comments can't be wrong.
