Moving out is impossible, especially if you're in the military

I rented an apartment from Madrona Pointe for a little over a year and a half, of which I regret all of the time and money I spent there. It's impossible to get anything fixed, the management is a joke, as well as any of the people who work in the office, parking isn't too bad-but it's not a safe place to live-the cops busted into an apartment near my building(B) almost monthly. The real headache came when it was time to move out, I got deployment orders and gave my notice that I was going to have to break my lease, which I had a military clause in. It took getting my congressman involved to actually let me break my lease without paying enormous fees...Little did I know that as soon as I left the country they sent my account to collections for over $3,000.00 in made up charges, without ever notifying me. Three months later I find out when I check my credit report...A lot of arguing later I finally get things figured out-either way they charged me over 700 to replace carpets that weren't damaged at all, but I can't exactly make a case out of it overseas.
